Who we are
The Association of Human Resources Professionals (HRP) is a forum where Sri Lankan HRM professionals meet, fraternize and exchange ideas. We work towards the betterment of the profession, the corporate world and the nation at large. The members of our association are senior Human Resources professionals of the country’s largest organizations.
What we do
We work towards providing professional development, an arena for networking, a focus for legislative intervention in national HRM issues and the sharing of experiences, knowledge and ideas to establish HRM as a dominant force in the business sector. Our objective is to promote the importance of Human Resources Management to reap the benefits of efficiency, productivity and sound management.
We continuously work towards the betterment and development of our professional discipline and positively contribute to optimize human performance in the corporate and public sectors and thereby, the country at large, ultimately creating a highly efficient and productive nation.
We are dedicated to pursue our ultimate objective – a nation with an industrious, well managed and driven human resource.
Key Achievements
Our Association was the first to conceive the idea of the National HRM Awards in 2002 and has organized the event twice since then. Taking a giant leap forward in year 2007, the Association organized ‘HRM Awards 2007 – Super 10’ in collaboration with Hewitt Associates (India). Hewitt is the world’s largest Human Resources consulting group and bring with them their vast experience and expertise, as our content partner.
The event benchmarked Human Resources Management in Sri Lanka and was of immense value to participating companies. The event will be a regular fixture on the business calendar.
